How We Handle Your Data

We know you're uploading sensitive financial documents. Here is exactly what happens, step by step.

1

You upload a PDF

Your file is sent over HTTPS to our server. It is held in RAM only — it is never written to disk.

2

Text extraction

If the PDF has a text layer, we read it directly. If it is scanned, we send it to our advanced AI for OCR text extraction. Our AI providers are contractually prohibited from using your data to train models.

3

AI extraction

The statement text is sent to our advanced AI model with a precise structured prompt. Our AI providers are prohibited from using your data to train generative models.

4

Reconciliation

We verify the extracted transactions sum to the closing balance. If they don't, we flag the mismatch prominently.

5

Response to you

We return the structured transactions, reconciliation result, and your CSV/QBO files to your browser. The data lives only in your browser after this point.

6

We store metadata only

If you have an account, we record: filename, page count, bank name, and balanced/unbalanced. We never store transaction dates, amounts, descriptions, or balances.

7

Server memory is released

As soon as the response is sent, the request context — including your statement — is garbage-collected. There is nothing to delete.
